Western Digital(WD) has introduced a couple of new innovative SSD storage products personalized for the photographer to save their photographs on the go.
My Passport Wireless SSD
The new My Passport Wireless SSD drive lets you view your stored photos in the field, wirelessly by creating your own 802.11ac WiFi connection that can easily connect to your phones and tablets.
It features a built-in SD card reader and a USB 3.0 port as well, for connecting USB card readers. It can transfer images and videos at a speed of 65MB/s with a single-touch copy button. My Passport Wireless SSD drive can provide a full day’s use, with a battery life of 10 hours. Also, it has a built-in power bank that can be used to charge your mobile device.

Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD
Western Digital, under their sub-brand Sandisk, has also unveiled the Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD that delivers a read speed of up to 550MB/s. It has an IP55 rated, weather resistant, rugged casing of a size smaller than some smartphones.
